Kyle brings fifteen years of experience in photography and photographic production to the Paul Kyle Gallery.
Originally from Massachusetts, Kyle worked as a commercial photographer before moving to Vancouver in 2010 where he attended Emily Carr University of Art and Design. While completing his BFA here, he found a passion for fine art photography and broadened his knowledge of the history of the medium. Upon graduating from Emily Carr in 2012, he was fortunate to be able to combine his technical and academic skills working as the manager of Studio f6o4, a large format darkroom and photographic production facility focused on producing work for artists. Over the next ten years he worked there and privately to assist artists with the technical elements of their production, helping to bring their visions to life. Recently, Kyle has had the opportunity to teach introductory photography courses with Bow Valley College where he’s been fortunate to share his experience with a new generation of artists.
