Patrice Lesick

Arshile Gorky once said that "Abstraction allows man to see with his mind what he cannot see physically with his eyes...Abstract art enables the artist to perceive beyond the tangible, to extract the infinite out of the finite. It is the emancipation of the mind. It is an exploration into unknown areas".

Artist Patrice Lesick, studio assistant to acclaimed artist Guido Molinari, was born in Canada in 1964. Lesick produced large, sensational and dramatic acrylic on linen paintings in the 1980's to early 1990's that sought to express a deep-seaded desire to live and encompass an undeniable intensity and strength.
