A Trip to Los Angeles

welcome to our

SATURDAY EVENING POST

September 16th, 2023

Welcome to a special edition of our Saturday Evening Post. In this edition, we will be showing you some of our favourite moments during our time in Los Angeles this past week. We are showcasing works from our visit to The Broad, MOCA, LACMA, and Marciano Art Foundation.

The highlight of this trip is, of course, spending time with Thom and Blythe Mayne. They were incredibly generous with their time and spirit, opened not only their home and studio to us, but their hearts, sharing their values, challenges, and aspirations, revealing the beautiful and tender part of themselves to us.

We will be announcing Thom Mayne’s exhibition for February 2024. Look for our press release and invitation for his exhibition opening.

THE HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP

ABOVE IMAGES: Thom Mayne Art Studio

ABOVE IMAGES: Thom and Blyth’s beautiful home, with dog Georgia and cat Elsa

When one of the world’s most famous architects designs his own home, you can expect that every line and every corner to be perfect, every space and detail is purposeful. Above all else, he designed a Home, a dwelling where there is history, joy, and shared love, and it is ultimately, a reflection of who and what they are, as people and as a family.

If you would like to read more about Thom and Blythe’s Mayne’s home, it is featured on GA HOUSES 178. GA Houses’ documents outstanding new residential architecture from all over the world.
