welcome to our

SATURDAY EVENING POST

December 20th, 2025

Two people in coats admire gradient paintings in a gallery. The art features blue, green, and red hues. The mood is contemplative.

As the holiday season arrives, we want to share how truly grateful we are for your continued love and support of all of us, the exhibitions we host, the artists we represent, and the work we are so fortunate to do. Looking back on the year, we are reminded that the beauty of art is that it is a gift that keeps on giving, deepening with time, care, and shared experience.

We wish you and those you love a holiday season filled with warmth, rest, and moments of joy, and we look forward to continuing this journey together in the year ahead.

Goodbye Mikayla!

We are very sorry to see Mikayla Sousae leave the Gallery as she prepares to move to Montreal. Since joining our team shortly after completing her BFA at Emily Carr University in May 2025, Mikayla has been an integral presence in our daily work and in the life of the Gallery.

We first came to know Mikayla through her work as Charlotte Wall’s studio assistant, witnessing firsthand her care, precision, and quiet dedication while she worked in the Gallery on Alphabet for our 2023 group exhibition. She later contributed to the production of works including Black Box and I Could Not Stop (Emily Dickinson), presented in Charlotte Wall: Reveal. Following her graduation from Emily Carr University, Mikayla joined our team, where her knowledge of ceramics, strong organisational skills, and calm, creative problem solving quickly became invaluable.

Beyond her skill and reliability, Mikayla brought incredible warmth and generosity into the gallery each day. Her very infectious smile, wicked sense of humour, and genuine engagement with art lifted the atmosphere of our shared work. She approaches every task with energy and resolve, meeting challenges creatively and without hesitation. We all agree that Mikayla is one of a kind, and her presence will be deeply missed. As she moves to Montreal, we are deeply sad to see her go, but immensely proud of her and grateful for the time we shared.
